Abingdon Cycle Festival returns to town for 2018
The Abingdon Cycling Festival will be back for a 7th year on Sunday 22 April 2018.
The Abingdon Cycle Festival will deliver free family-friendly rides and activities to all ages and abilities. There will be over 20 rides on offer for road bikes, mountain bikes and anything else with two wheels!
The event is aimed at getting the people of Abingdon and surrounding areas out on their bikes and enjoying the outdoors. Rides will head out from the Market Square from 9am.
For the first time, 2018 will see a host of events take place in the afternoon on the airfield at Dalton Barracks. At the airfield there’ll be:
- Group ride coaching sessions for adults (15+) and children (8-14)
- Off road mountain bike for adults and children 10+
- Criterium races (to be booked through British Cycling)
- Plenty of refreshments and free parking!
All activities are free and start at 9am in the market square and 1pm at Dalton Barracks (use Barrow Road entrance) and will continue throughout the day.
